Four Tier Lace and Ribbons Wedding Cake

Here's a look at this week's wedding cake. 

It was a four tier square cake, with the top and bottom tiers being luxurious fruit cake and the middle two being sponge. Each tier was iced in white fondant, then the top and third tier had royal blue ribbon detail applied while the second and bottom tiers had cornelli lace detail hand piped onto it. 

The bride also asked for some handmade sugar flowers to be added to each tier, so here's a piccie of the finished cake:

This cake was super heavy - I couldn't even lift it, so my hubby had to help with the delivery. It's a good job he's strong! xx
