Vintage Double Height Cake with Roses and Pearls

Here's a cake which is a little bit different. It's effectively a four tier cake made to look like a three tier cake. The top tier has hand made sugar roses trimmed with pearls and the top and bottom tiers are finished off with a lace and pearl trim. The middle tier has a handmade fondant bow.

Looks gorgeous on a pedestal cake stand - the perfect centrepiece for a vintage style wedding :)

Four Tier Pale Blue Wedding Cake with Butterflies and Lace

Here's a cake which is a little bit different. It's a gorgeous pale blue colour with ivory lace and ribbon trim and ivory butterflies trailing down the side.

Love Hearts 2 Tier Wedding Cake

Here's a fun idea for a wedding cake! Two tiers of square sponge cake iced in ivory fondant and trimmed with baby pink ribbon. The bottom tier has Love Heart sweets applied and there's a spray topper made from Love Hearts too.

W064 - Four Tier Ivory Blossom Wedding Cake

Here's a gorgeous wedding cake but a very poor photo! This is a four tier cake which is iced in ivory sugarpaste and trimmed with ivory satin ribbon. The detail to the front of the cake features blossoms and piped vines and stems and swirls up to the top tier.

A gorgeous glamorous cake!

Vintage Style Butterfly Cupcakes for a Wedding

Over the summer I was asked to create the wedding cupcakes for the fabulous Richard Daniels and his lovely wife Gill. Richard is a swing singer who I've had the pleasure of listening to many times - check out his website http://www.richsingsswing.co.uk/

Here are the cupcakes - vanilla sponge topped with vanilla frosting, with a fondant butterfly. Some cupcakes were presented in butterfly themed cupcake wrappers, which added to the overall feel.

Here is a professionally taken shot of the cupcakes take by Stott and Atkinson Photography of Leeds (www.stottandatkinson.com)

Patchwork Peppa Pig Birthday Cake

I was asked to create a cake for Hannah's birthday which featured Peppa Pig, but other than that I was given free rein regarding design, which was fabulous! I'm having a bit of a phase of loving all things crafty and vintage, so I thought the Peppa Pig could be "appliqued" to the cake with other bits and pieces to look like patches. Thank goodness for my stitch tool!

Hannah's mum was thrilled with the cake when she collected it, and I loved making it! xx

Girly Blossom and Butterfly Cupcakes

Some luscious vanilla cupcakes topped with either vanilla buttercream or vanilla flavoured fondant. Each one is then topped with either a '3', or a butterfly or a flower. Done in baby pink and dusted with some edible white glitter, the colours and numbers can be changed to suit.

Oh so pretty, and very yummy, our gift boxes of 12 cupcakes are just £18 and make a perfect gift for a loved one xx

Three Tier Roses Wedding Cake (W001)

I just wanted to share a few of my favourite wedding cakes that I've done, starting with this one. It's a three tier cake which has a ring of roses (or any other flowers) in between the bottom and top tiers.

In this picture the roses are silk, but you could use real flowers from your florist to tie in with your bouquet etc, or even have sugar flowers (however this would up the price considerably as there are a LOT of flowers here!).

There's a delicate piped band to each tier above the ribbon trim and the cake is finished with a pretty sparkly brooch.

This cake would be perfect for a vintage style wedding theme, such as this one featured in a mood board by Perfect Moments Wedding Planner HERE

Happy planning! x

Shabby chic inspired wonky birthday cake

I LOVED making this cake! My client ordered it as a gift for her friend's 30th birthday and basically let me do what I wanted! I love these shades of blue and pink together and added the edible bows to make it extra girly. The ribbon roses on the board add extra detail and the whole thing is accented by a hand piped birthday message.

This cake has now also become the inspiration for baby Robinson's nursery when she arrives - roll on March ;-) x
